Psychotherapy /counselling offers an opportunity to explore your experience of life with someone trained and experienced in facilitating people in their search for more satisfying ways of living.

We approach the work as primarily an encounter where the counsellor/psychotherapist can offer an authentic, non-judgemental, empathic relationship in which the client’s resources can best be mobilised and healing and growth emerge.

We are conscious of the power invested in the role of counsellor/therapist and are aware of how much damage and distress has been caused in peoples lives through misuses or abuses of power. Therefore we are attentive to how we hold our power and respect for the rights and authority of the client is paramount in our work.

We are sensitive to the meaning of difference, particularly to people from minority groups and we acknowledge the social, economic and political factors that contribute to individual distress.
